Karma: The Patient Whore

Angry clouds form overheadyoga-sunset
thunder claps threaten the face of a darkened sky
deaf to pleas the heavens sheds exercised tears
its anger exposed in thunderous claps and lightening bolts
none can appease its grieving heart

The earth looks up
saddened by the grieving skies
embracing sad tears
soaking up a sea of misery
knowing solace can be found nowhere

The mystery of heaven
absorbed by the earth
finds home beneath a fluid saline expanse
beneath the seemingly calm surface of this beautiful creature called ocean
lies a multitude of transgressions
feelings, passions and emotions
begging, screaming to be let loose
but she takes her cue from long time friend; Karma

Karma’s a bitch
knowing no shame
she frolics with all and sundry
neither knowing young or old
strong or frail
she is a whore that sleeps with all
taking pride in her glowing conquests
her best ally is the ocean
provider of ample worshipers at her alter of devotion

Sensuously beautiful
able to coax secrets from a newborn
karma diligently seeks you out
she stands sultrily by the roadside awaiting your timely passage
not minding to wait generations
to get her fill of ecstasy you alone can provide

Faithfully she knows her time with you comes
when buried seeds arise to haunt like grizzly ghouls
rejected by the very earth by which they were spawned
out in the open they come to bear
wrecking havoc like caged animals come to play

The sweetness of her name belies the precision of her ways
excellence her game
infallible; the way she plays
artfully and bountifully rewarding with joy
her unwitting clientele
