In the corner my place,
Awaiting the comfort of embrace
I am beautiful.
Rejection is commonplace
Swallowing pride
Asking is a wimp’s style.
Disgust is the loving reply
Needs hibernate in the North Pole
Home is anywhere but home.
Patiently waiting
Knowing my day draws nigh
Aching tired feet: surely have need of comfort.
Yet shunned by cold smelly feet
Hope resides in another lifetime
In a reject store
A new friend
I just might find.
