Angel of Mercy

Financial constraints motivated assistance
A job initially done with reluctance
Didn’t know she was on a crucial mission
Saving the essence of another’s existence;
Filled with despair and sorrow
Waking up each day was climbing the Kilimanjaro.

The morning sun ushered in a new day
Her presence shone like the sun looking down a lovey bay
The empty pantry now bulging with essentials
Emptiness being its previous potential;
When money lost its credentials.

With the dawn of each day
A spring of hope wells up with a smile on his face
Looking forward to the blessing that came his way
Dispelling the darkness of loneliness
And having existence in a world previously ignoring his presence.
