It’s better to eat bread and be at peace

Than eat cake and be in hell.

Better to walk 10 miles barefoot

Than drive two miles and lose your feet.

The cat chases the mouse

Thinking it has the upper hand

It too forgets it has one above it

That can bag it.

The king thinks himself lord and king

His subjects

Worthless footstools!

The fool forgets

There is yet one

Who owns his soul.

The boss

Today thinks us dental floss

Come tomorrow

He becomes a lost cause.

The creature

Unaware it’s a creation

Is nothing but bait

In the hands of the Creator.

Created unlimited

Yet we limit ourselves

Caught in a vicious cycle

We move yet find ourselves standing still.
